Rose Park House is the Best Place to Stay in Derry says Trivago

Rose Park House has claimed third place in the Northern Ireland Hotels category as part of the online travel site Trivago’s inaugural Top Hotel Awards.

The awards, organised by the online hotel search website, use aggregated online user ratings to recognise the highest-rated hotels, both nationally and regionally. Rose Park House came in third place in Northern Ireland with a rating of 92.80. The hotels were ranked using the trivago Rating Index (tRI) which combines over 190 million online ratings from over 30 different websites worldwide.

Trivago’s spokesperson Denise Bartlett, said: “With the top three hotels classified as B&B’s, visitors to this region are clearly satisfied by the service provided by B&B’s – perhaps due to the relaxed, family-run atmosphere. Travellers are often simply looking for a home away from home, which is something B&Bs can easily offer.

“The Trivago Top Hotel Awards aim to judge all accommodation fairly, whether they are a five-star hotel in Belfast or a family-run B&B in the countryside. It is really encouraging to see such a range of accommodation, both in terms of price and geographical location, in our top 20.”
